【摘要】:Thistestmethodoffersalaboratorymeanstocomparetherelativeperformancesofbaseballbats.Useofthistestmethodcanprovidesportsgoverningbodiesameanstocomparecalculatedbatted-ballspeedandotherphysicalpropertiesofthebats.1.1Thistestmethoddefinesamethodfordeterminingbatperformancebymeasuringthebat-ballcoefficientofrestitution(BBCOR),derivingthebatperformancefactor(BPF),andcalculatingbatted-ballspeed(BBS).Itisapplicabletobaseballbatsofanyconstructionormaterial.Thetestmethodprovidesaquantitativemeasureofbatdynamicperformancethatmaybeusedforcomparisonpurposes.1.2TheBBCOR,BPF,andBBSareeachcalculatedfrommeasurementstakeninthelaboratoryontestequipmentmeetingtherequirementsdefinedinthistestmethod.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
