【摘要】:Uraniumhexafluorideusedtoproducenuclear-reactorfuelmustmeetcertaincriteriaforitsisotopiccomposition.ThistestmethodmaybeusedtohelpdetermineifsamplematerialsmeetthecriteriadescribedinSpecificationsC787andC996.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaquantitativetestmethodapplicabletodeterminingthemasspercentofuraniumisotopesinuraniumhexafluoride(UF6)samples.Thismethodasdescribedisforconcentrationsof235Ubetween0.1and10mass%,and234Uand236Ubetween0.0001and0.1mass%.1.2Thistestmethodisforlaboratoryanalysisbyagasmassspectrometerwithamulti-collector.1.3ThisstandardcomplementsTestMethodsC761,thedouble-standardmethodforgasmassspectrometersusingasinglecollector,byprovidingamethodforspectrometersusingamulti-collector.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
